Wake up

The morning arises

Laying here

Heavily panting

A breathless sigh

To an unfamiliar day

Of reckoning

Time starts

On a resolute clock,

While churning

Strange numbers

And hazy faces

Slowly recurring

In absolute

And indomitable emptiness

Barely recalling

Obscure details

of a relentless dream

Placidly hallucinating

On the imaginary  

Occurrences of folly

Witnessing

Fresh details of your life story

Consuming  

Another wretched day

Of guilt and innocence

Wake up

The present emerges

Tweak your urges

To another chance

At blissful survival

The morning awaits

How can one forget

That late night brew

An unforgettable chat

No words were few

An unexpected encounter

Of minds that flew

I was one uninvited guest

Couldn’t bid adieu

Despite your struggles

Chaos never ensued

Instilled in me a courage

Unwavering strength renewed

No one can replace

A bond that grew
