Apt. 2
A Blind Pursuit
We oftentimes wonder why
Our observant mind questions
And attempts to answer incessantly
The queries and uncertainties
Of both time and existence
Our minds seem to provide endless
possibilities
Of why things are such
Of why things are in such order and
arrangement
Of why things are driven the way it
should be
Is there an impetus?
Is there an impetus?
An unseen force
Hidden yet impels life
undiscernibly?
Yet in the end our near-triumphs
And elucidations are minuscule
Mere naive and one-dimensional
assumptions
Compared to the complexity
And intricacy of it all
So one would ask
Why bother?
What's in it for us to thrive?
What pushes us to seek?
For our searching selves couldn't
be restrained
As it explores its pursuit.
An unsighted quest, one would say
Is it really sightless?
For even the blind finds what it
cannot see.
